Welcome to Nursery!
We’re so glad to have you here at our Nursery! Mrs. Glenn and Miss Norton are excited to guide you on this journey of learning.
Nursery is the beginning of your child's school adventure, and we believe it's important to start off right. At the beginning of the year we focus on getting to know each other and ensuring that every child has what they need to be happy, and to make the best possible progress.
We place a strong emphasis on language and communication, as these skills are the foundation of all learning. Through a carefully selected set of core books, we aim to nurture a love of stories and reading while expanding vocabulary and understanding. Our goal is for every child to become a confident communicator.
Additionally, we work hard to develop both fine and gross motor skills through a variety of indoor and outdoor activities. We also incorporate the Squiggle into Wiggle program, which helps with the movements necessary for early writing.
In addition to our daily activities, we have PE on Mondays with Mr. Hatton and Musical Beginnings with Mrs. Brocklehurst on alternate Wednesdays.
Starting Nursery is a significant milestone in your child’s life, and we look forward to partnering with you as a family to ensure they get off to the best possible start!
